Snowden: Great, okay. So, for those people first off who have no idea who the hell I am. I'm the guy who was behind the revelations global mass surveillance in 2013 ....

Analysis:

The interviewer asked Edward to change the subject to make it more interesting by using implicature (topic: shifting). However, the interviewer did not specifically mention what topics would be discussed directly. Besides that, the pragmatic phenomena that occur are directives in the words of the interviewer. Offends the maxims of relavant and quality. Relavant because what Edward said was in accordance with the implicature given by the interviewer. Meanwhile, maxim quality because Edward is honest about who he is.
